When you wonder how 'those guys' got the back of the boat...

If you know anyone with pallets of unsalable block, I know a toggy place or two we can store them. Forever. Will pay for trucking.
If you have a few blocks in the backyard taking up space and just making snake reef, bring em. We'll toss em overboard with the rest.

Twenty Three Pallets of Block Were Donated by DelMarVa Power - Thank You! (2,580 large blocks)

Greetings All,
Perhaps not all my readers (all 8 or 10 of you!) realize I'm president of the OC Reef Foundation. The State axed MD's reef program in 1997 & the Nichols family immediately resuscitated coastal reef building in a 501c3 Non-Profit.. I've had the helm for maybe 4 or 5 years now. I'm hopeful this year will see our largest single reef construction yet -- in boulder. We have no rented office space & no salaried payroll.

The Ocean City Reef Foundation's Annual Spring Dinner is this Sunday, May 7th, from 4 to 8 at Seacrets in Marley Hall. Tickets are just $20.00 at the door. And, I'm sad to say, for the first time ever there are no minors allowed. I did not realize this until far too late. But we have one heck of a dinner/auction planned!

In 2017 we will begin restoration of the Bass Grounds Reef. Partnering with The Nature Conservancy, & with help from the Coastal Conservation Association's "Building Conservation Trust," we'll be using eighteen-inch to three foot boulder as substrate where once a vast natural reef of sea whip stretched for roughly four square miles.
Whether we get a bargeload of boulder, or several bargeloads of boulder is up to sponsors!
Reef building is making fishing better. We can make it better still.

Sometimes piece by piece; this year a long stride forward. The coming project provides a truly unique opportunity to leave the Mid-Atlantic ocean better than we found it.

OCRF is offering another Benelli Shotgun Raffle; a Benelli Super Black Eagle II, 25th Anniversary Limited Edition, 12ga 28" in Black Cerakote. Also, owing extensive side-scan surveying by the Morning Star, 2017 charts are, by far, our most accurate ever. Be sure to renew your sponsorship - or start anew!

Below are some of what we'll be offering at the Seacrets Dinner/Auction May 7th from 4 to 8.
Come out and support reef building along the DelMarVa Coast!
