Greetings All,
Just a small 10 man tog trip Saturday, May 5th. A training trip, have found a couple fellows who want to work my rail - time to get them started.
We'll depart at 7:30 and return at 3 - Tix 100.00 by reservation only - 410 520 2076
REEF DINNER!! May 6th at Seacrets OC - $25 at the Door - Cash/Check best - Credit cards run through the website. (which is a pain in the neck but I'm trying!) Auction items are numerous and wonderful..
Doing a block trip Friday, May 4th at 9AM - Have moved 22 tons of block offshore in the last few weeks.. Royal Farms Chicken & Drinks Provided - Bring Gloves & Advil for your back! email mhawkins@morningstarfishing.com if interested.
Have posted several videos lately from Nick Caloyianis' recent dive at the Bass Grounds - https://www.facebook.com/Ocean-City-Reef-Foundation-143474039155904/ There's wonderful old-growth (for artificial reef) from the late 1970s plus blocks..
Has ANYONE heard back from ANYONE at NOAA?

Yes, they all laughed at the estimates I quoted ..but No, they seem unwilling even now to do anything about how bad data affects recreational fishers. Seem....

In fact, last week I heard MD's top guy in fisheries say, "MRIP's just like a presidential election poll with +-3%"
No - No it isn't.
If one state's Private Boats can be shown to outfish both the entire region's Commercial & Party/Charter, it's way too far off to consider an accurate result suitable for regulatory purposes. It's like a political poll with +- 3,000%....
There's no REAL reason EVERYONE shouldn't have a decent sea bass season - It's only MRIP's false accusations of overfishing that prevent reasonable seasons/bag limits/size limits.
Get this Reef Foundation dinner done and I'll return to that work.
Taking sea bass reservations from May 15th to June 3rd.. Soon open June too.
